A crazy Sat
hehe, I was in sch yest for a total of 14 hours and outside home for a total of 16 hrs. thts two-thrids of a day. lol, but it was quite fun yest. Prac in the morning, sectionals first. bing liang came over and i was playing chun1, dong1 and taiwan zhui xiang on the sound system, Slacked thru sectionals, only to practise some parts occasionally. Guess everyone is still suffering from post-SYF syndrome. Orchestral prac was quite okae and lao zhou managed to finish chang2 hen4 mian2 mian2 somehow.
In the afternoon, there were interviews. While waiting for my turn, watched the publicity comm do up the banners outside the CO room. There was an flurry of action at first as they couldn't get the paint cans open. In the end, we used the hinge of a door as a lever and a hammer and a screw as battering ram to get it open. lol, talk about creative and innotive solutions.
Next, went in for interviews. The qns asked were quite okae, it was smooth-sailing for me at least for most parts of the interview. It was only nearing the end tht i start to shoot myself in the leg. lol, in layman terms, making contradicting statements and being unaware of wat u are saying. lol, it's amazing tht words can at times provide the magical touch to an expression and yet at times fail you and make u look stupid.
After the interviews, continued helping the publicity comm with the banners as I was staying for the chinese drama production at night. lol, as I was pointing out to kevin, the daji banner looks like it consist of an abacus, an orange apple (the irony) and a triangular glass evalator from Roald Dahl's Charlie and The Chocolate Factory. Well...not tht I'm complaining but..... In any case, kudos to tbe publicity ppl for putting the effort and doing such a great job.
At night, went with shan, deng, vin and zj to watch jing4, mirror in direct english translation. Deng came with his lion dance ppl which include..... So, we were like choosing a seat quite a distance away from him. U knoe, we were trying to cut down sg's power consumption, but deng insist on sitting rite in front of us, making us guity of excessive power consumption. lol, he better help us pay our power bills.
The play was damn funny and rather meaningful. Talks about this two ppl who were unhappy with their present life, so they "swopped lives" thru the mirror. Lawrence, Rich and Tan Long were seriously damn funny as they cracked one joke after another. I believe everyone would agree that Tan Long's impersonation of an Indonesian maid brought the house down. The play finally ended at 10.15pm, and i finally reached home at 11.45pm, obviously drawing disapproving stares from my parents. (Not to add tht I skipped a family function to attend the play)
