Saw a rainbow this morning at the small canteen... Eons since i last saw one. Quite happy to see it, just that RJ was totally the wrong setting. lol, rainbow represents a new hope i think, 雨过天晴... I certainly hope so.

Updating lesser now in J2, finding lesser to say too, coz i dun like to go into narratives, unless it's something really significant. Perhaps blogging not longer mean anything to me, or rather, the meaning that used to be is non-existent now. But fret not, coz there will always be good music on my blog.

oh.. todae, i went from 5.30am to 4pm without food. lol, becoz of the percussion masterclass during my break when i have a 4 o'clock day. Strangely, i wasn't starving at 4. Anw, the tabla demostration was fantastic. The performer teaches music at Princeton and is famous worldwide, he even got a billboard award if i'm not wrong. He used the tabla to play "Pink panther", using only his wrist to control the pitch. When he played, his fingers were so fast lar. "Each finger acts as a hand, or a drumstick for that matter." So, u have 10 hands/drumstick. lol. One of his jokes, "When u play jazz, u start off with a melody and a rhythm, then u go into a bridge b4 each individual players take their solos and start improvising. So the piano player takes a solo, the sax takes a solo, the drum player takes a solo... Ah... but when the drum player takes a solo, the piece ends, coz everyone else gets off the stage." One thing he said tht i agreed whole-heartedly, "Music is the same everywhere. U pick up a drum and go anywhere in the world and start playing, ppl are able to understand."

On a final note, jay zhou's feng mv is quite nice despite its loopholes. Wanted to say tht for quite long but keep forgetting....
