On white slips and cards

Cards in RJC make an ironic comeback in times when the authorities call for stricter disciplinary measures. While the female students complain about the authorities lack of trust in their taste and discretion in dressing and a cetain teacher who white-slipped 8 ppl in a single day, an apparent or delibrate slip up by the authorities has set the rumour mills churning. The iron rule "Playing all forms of card games is prohibited in College" in handbook 2005 has been replaced by a meek "no gambling of any form allowed", leading us to think if this might be a softening of stance against the playing of card games. However, in times when 3 white slips warrant a phone call to parents, i would rather toe the line than jump the gun. An official statement to clarify would be much desired. Let us all hope that cards make a true comeback this time, in truly ironic fashion....
