hmm.... its 4 weeks from christmas... i just realised....

Clinging on sounds so negative.... as though it'a almost desperate, filled with reluctance and a certain inertia... whereas insistence sounds positive, as though it's the right thing to do, so righteous and filled with passion....

Yet in real life, it's so hard to draw the line betweeen clinging on and insisting...
